La dolce vita
I got some bloodwork done the other day and to put it bluntly in not-so-nice words, the nurse stabbed me like a mofo. Nevertheless I survived and it turns out that my hemoglobin is low (for those medically inclined, the normal range is 120-160 g/L for women). I have to say I'm really liking this diagnosis - it explains why I've been so tired lately and it's like free reign to have steak 24/7, all day, every day! Mmmm... steak. To begin my new iron-rich diet I ordered an 8 oz. sirloin at Zi Zi Trattoria, a restaurant in Woodbridge (woohoo!) Nancy introduced me to. It was delicious... the steak plus the Michelina's I had earlier today (which surprisingly provided 24% of my recommended daily iron intake) should do me some good. Hopefully I don't get atherosclerosis from all the cholesterol I'm ingesting or get a bad case of iron overload. Ew.
I really liked Zi Zi and highly recommend it. I can't wait to return to Woodbridge again (for those not familiar, this is an area north of Toronto full of outlet malls and banquet halls; a.k.a Italian heaven). I definitely want to return to La Paloma and have some more yummy gelato, which is the best dessert ever second to chocolate mousse cake.
Today has been very inspiring and I'm almost done the itinerary for when Mike gets here for my sister's wedding (which is happening in eight days!) We're gonna hit up:
1) Korean BBQ
2) Woodbridge
I can't wait!

Woodbridge, eh? Sounds like the old "Betty Catelli" that I knew back in the day is back. Or was it Betty Ragu?
Oh, and I hope you didn't exert yourself with that 2-item itinerary. Sounds like it could have been exhausting coming up with that.
