The way to a WOman's heart is through her stomach
Today I woke up at 9:30 AM, a little later than I wanted to start studying. My goals today were to cover respirology and cardiology for the third time and also finish eating all the food in my kitchen because I am moving out soon and I want to empty my freezr and fridge! So my day went something like this:
9:30 AM: Sit at my desk. Look at my notes for 30 seconds. Check my mail. Get back to my notes.
10:00 AM: Eat a Campbell's cup 'o noodles for breakfast because all it requires is boiled water.
10:30 AM: Reading, reading...
10:45 PM: Mike calls to say hi and Priya calls to arrange our massive the-day-before-exams 24 hour study session for tomorrow.
11:30 AM: Starting to get hungry so I make Lipton's chicken and wild rice soup and add carrots, the only veggies I have left in my fridge.
12:00 PM: Get back to studying.
12:30 PM: I'm reading Felson's Principles of Chest Roentgenology and they stick anagrams throughout the book to save the reader from ultimate boredom (what a brilliant idea! Should be mandatory for every medical textbook.) Today I learned the coolest anagram: Twelve plus one = Eleven plus two!!!!
1:00 PM: I get the munchies again so I crack open my fifth last package of Dad's oatmeal cookies (it comes with two cookies, so I only ate one).
3:00 PM: I call Mike to beg him to come down to Kingston and have dinner with me because I'm slowly realizing I'm running out of food (and of course I want to see the boy!) Like any smart boy Mike says NO.
3:30 PM: I finish the second oatmeal cookie and the rest of my soup I had for lunch.
4:00 PM: My tummy and head are full.
6:00 PM: I get deliriously hungry again. My plan for dinner: microwave popcorn.
8:29 PM: I decided I might just boycott dinner since I've truly got nothing to eat. I also feel too poor to order pizza. I'm starting to lose my studying wind (usually happens around 7:30 PM) and check out the Grey's anatomy site. I find out that there is a Grey's Anatomy ringtone!!! It sounds like crap but I do seriously contemplate downloading it...
8:30 PM: *Ring!* *Ring!* The phone is ringing and it's Mike! He says he has a surprise for me and I start to FREAK OUT. He didn't seriously listen to me and decide to drive down 3 hours to see me!??! I'm hyperventilating (respiratory alkalosis, baby) and he tells me that he ORDERED DINNER FOR ME! FROM MONTREAL!! Talk about the BEST surprise ever!! Even better, he ordered SUSHI!!!!!!!!! I've been craving it ALL WEEK.
Mike, you're the sweetest man alive!!
I'm so happy, it's not even funny.
