Happy halloween!

It's the end of October and that means:

1) We gain an hour thanks due to daylight savings time (more sleep for one day- yay!)
2) Exams are 1.5 months away (boo!)
3) It's two-bags-of-candy-for-$4-at-Shoppers-Drug-Mart time!

For the past two weeks I've been eating a small package of peach fuzzies for breakfast and it has been heaven in the midst of school hell. It is just so busy right now that I don't even have time to line up at Timmy Ho's in the morning. It's a vicious cycle, 'cuz all this sugar is causing lots of hypoglycemic-induced coma action on my end.

However, I made time this weekend for some Halloween hijinx! Usually, it's my older sister who carves the pumpkin and does a damn good job at it. This year, since I'm not at home and my sister has moved away, Mike encouraged me to take a"stab" at it, heheh (not to mention Mike is in love with jack-o-lanterns). We found the most perfect pumpkin at a farmer's market and carved this citronelle chef-d'oeuvre:

You might notice the eyes are too big because I got kind of knife-happy.... based on my pumpkin carving experience I think I should probably rule out any surgical specialty! Mike salvaged the whole thing with his expert carving of the mouth and teeth (he secretly wants to be one of those guys on Nip/Tuck).

This year I really wanted to get over my fear of watching scary movies because ever since I saw It as a kid, I have never been able to watch a scary movie in its entirety. However, when a bunch of people started talking about "the Exorcism of Emily Rose" I had nightmares even from their second-hand accounts of the movie. *Shudder*... I can't believe I even wrote about in my blog. No scary movies for me! I'll stick to masterpieces like How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, thank you very much.

Happy Halloween everyone!!!

Be safe, donate to UNICEF, brush your teeth and most importantly, sort your candy!

In my medical opinion, the best Halloween costume ever: The plug and socket, baby!

Salut chère Betty,

C'est "citrouille", et non "citronelle".
